Adding pizzaz and professionalism to my company image
Portraying stability and credibility to investors, lenders and suppliers
Assisting in building customer trust and loyalty to my brand
Showing that I am savvy enough to be taking advantage of technology
I don't think a website can polish or strengthen my company image

A website can solidify and deepen customer relationships by:

Providing my customers with online support options
Making their customer experience with my company pleasant and fulfilling
Providing a vehicle for regular email communication
Providing invaluable and timely information
Allowing for more efficient customer feedback and polling
I don't think a website can solidify and deepen my customer relationships

A website can increase Sales Revenue by:

Allowing me to procure and process sales automatically without intervention
    24/7/365

Enlightening current customers about new and existing product offerings
Expanding geographic boundaries
Allowing me to target my niche effectively
Opening up new markets
Offering me a convenient way to solicit repeat business
I don't think that a website can increase my sales

A website can provide 24/7 Advertising by:

Providing me with a flexible, interactive marketing vehicle to publish fresh
    material dynamically
Allowing anyone to access my information anytime unassisted
Providing me with a way to collect information about my customers
Providing me the means to secure and efficiently process hot leads and inquiries
Providing a convenient "landing pad" for other marketing efforts
Allowing me to promote my own company (and website) every time I give out my email address
I don't think a website provides 24/7 advertising

A website can make inter-company communications more efficient by:

Providing a private, unified location to publish internal information quickly and efficiently
Providing a means for collaboration/file sharing among remote and on-site employees

    more efficient

Allowing me to position my site so that only people who are looking for my
product will be drawn to my site
Allowing me to test market new products more easily and efficiently
I don't think a website could help me target my niche

A website can improve my competitive position by:

Allowing me to compete with national branded companies, especially since
many small businesses on the web are increasing annual revenue by
hundreds of thousands of dollars, while big dotcoms go under
Assisting me in over-shadowing and out performing local competitors who
aren't yet taking advantage of the Internet
I don't think a website could help improve my competitive position

A website can help me prepare for the future by:

Helping me to see and develop new vistas and ideas in my market that I would not have
    thought of otherwise
Helping people find me quickly, as the Internet becomes the standard for
    locating local resources
Assuring my success and ability to compete in tomorrow's marketplace... today!
Helping me to leave a legacy by providing a permanent archive of my work for future generations.
I don't think the Internet plays a major part in the economy and marketplace now
     or in the future
